I was asked by a friend to design some Tshirts for a bachelorette party. The bride-to-be, Katie, has a custom Michigan license plate that reads “KT QT”. We took the idea and ran with it. The party has an 80s rock theme, so I added awesome 80s wings, and a concert shirt looking back.
The shirts were printed very inexpensively and I designed them to work with 1 screen and only one pass. The graphics are 100% vector. I added a worn effect in Illustrator by vectorizing a stone texture, placing it over the graphic and using pathfinder To subtract it from the original graphic behind. On the front, I repeated the process for every other “KT QT” down the right side numerous times to acheive the final desired effect.
